The interiors are well furnished with tasteful decor. The palette is soft neutrals with handsome wood accents. Beautiful French doors open from the living area to the private pool. For those that enjoy cooking, the kitchen is nicely equipped with stainless appliances, polished granite counter tops and a breakfast bar.
The bedroom is spacious and features a romantic four poster king sized bed. The bathroom is outfitted with dual vanities and granite counter tops. a nice features are the honeycomb window shades so that you can enjoy sleeping in should you desire. French doors open from the bedroom to the pool terrace.
The lovely private swimming pool is set on a spacious deck complete with a gazebo which is perfect for morning coffee or sunset cocktails. The area, also, boasts a BBQ gas grill for those nights you can't tear yourself away from this elegant retreat.
A hammock on the beach provides yet another way to enjoy the island and beach. The property is located at the Western end of Grace Bay Beach and offers a more secluded feel away from the hotels. It, however, still is in a very convenient area and walking distance to quite a few restaurants.
With the coral reef so close to the shore, a strip of rock exists between the sandy beach and the water. We suggest wearing water shoes as the rock can sometimes be slippery. A short walk beyond the rocks, however, brings you to a nice sandy area for swimming. For those that enjoy snorkeling, however, some of the best snorkeling at Smith's Reef is just outside the cottage's door.
Ballyhoo Cottage is an ideal retreat for two.

We stayed at Ballyhoo Villa May 2013. This villa is gorgeous with amazing views, nicely decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed. It's a nice quiet secure location and the snorkeling was outstanding. The coral stone patio was beautiful and stays nice and cool on your feet even on the hottest day! We also loved the romantic lighting around the patio at night. The inside is exactly as pictured and the outside was amazing! We loved the ocean view, great pool, relaxing hammock and dining in the gazebo overlooking the ocean. It was so gorgeous we decided to shop and cook some of our dinners right on the patio! The kitchen was well equipped and morning coffee overlooking the ocean was heavenly! Having a washer/dryer was a plus. A short walk down the beach to amazing snorkeling. They were dredging a bit outside but it didn't bother us. The ocean water was so beautiful and blue. 2 things worth mentioning: The soap provided was Irish Spring. I am too sensitive for Irisih Spring so had to buy my own soap. Pack a bar in your suitcase if you are sensitive as soap is about $5.00 a bar at the grocery store because of the import fees. The bed is very firm and I had to sleep on the sofa several nights which was comfy. If we return I would bring an air matress with me. To management: a blanket would be nice to have in the villa since I slept on the sofa. :-) It was an amazing relaxing vacation and I hope to return again some day. Absolutely beautiful!
Fabulous place! The house was adorable, well equipped and perfectly situated on a quiet part of the beach. If you like long beach walks and are willing to negotiate the rocky parts, it's perfect. If you want soft flat sand, stay further east on Grace Bay. But you won't find the tranquility that you find here! We spent every morning with coffee sitting on the rocks at shore edge as the water washed over our feet...and everyone evening watching the sunset over the hill on our rock with our feet submerged. The food on the island is fabulous---don't miss Coco Bistro or the restaurants w/i walking distance of the casita. We will be back!
Our second stay at Ballyhoo was great! Wonderful little villa. Right on the beach and a short walk down the beach to the best off beach snorkeling in the Providenciales. It's a short walk to Turtle Cove where there are a handful of fine restaurants. We will be back again!
This was our first trip to Provo & we could not have picked a better place to stay. Ballyhoo is just as it looks in the pictures. Everything was immaculate and well equipped. Quiet beach out the back door with great snorkeling & marina out the front. Away from the resort area, close to great restaurants. Private pool & hammock under a palapa. It was truly paradise. We grilled fresh lobster on the bbq a couple of nights, cooked most breakfasts in and enjoyed some wonderful dinners at various restaurants. We will definitely be staying here again.
We had a wonderful week in Provo, and Ballyhoo exceeded our expectations. The cottage was perfect - roomy, clean, and comfortable - we truly felt like it was our own home for the week. We loved the extra security that the neighborhood has, since it is a public beach - it was nice not to worry about late night beach parties being noisy nearby. The location of the cottage in the Turtle Cove area was PERFECT - we did not want to be in the midst of touristy/resort areas, and we wanted to be on the beach and able to snorkel. After leaving, we are truly convinced that this was the perfect location - good restaurants, fairly calm/quiet, and Smith's Reef snorkeling was wonderful. We will definitely return again!
