Footprints is an incredible property with plenty of room and activities for 11 of us. We had 6 adults and 5 children and everyone had a bed and unforgettable experience. Included in the weekly rate is the services of Chef Nadine and her staff. They are wonderful people and make your stay as comfortable as possible. The views from the backyard is of the most unbelievable water. There are concrete barriers that protect the beach from erosion but some of the barriers are submerged in the water. These barriers have become reefs and so the snorkeling, immediately offshore (kids can stand) is terrific. The kids found urchins, starfish and a number of tropical fish and spent hours swimming around. There are 5 such barriers within easy walking distance and the kids are still easily within site. A MAJOR benefit of this villa in my opinion. The kids were new to snorkeling and still talk about it.
We stayed at Footprints for our family get together/vacation at the end of May 2012. The property and neighborhood are beautiful and we loved that it was a quiet side of the island. The house is wonderful, perfectly furnished, and outfitted to make the stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Chef Nadine, Clayon, and Wesley were so wonderful and helpful and the food was amazing! So lucky to have this group! We loved Provo and hope very soon to return!
We recently returned from our third trip to Turks & Caicos, this time staying at the Footprints on the Beach villa in the Leeward area of Provo. If you don't feel like reading a lot, I'll summarize it in one word: Stunning! Footprints Villa is a 5BR beachfront villa in the Leeward neighborhood -- which really is a neighborhood. No stores here, no shops, etc. You walk out on the street and there are just more houses. We loved staying in this area -- great for jogging, walking etc -- and only a few minute drive (or a moderate walk) to the nearest small market, and probably 10 minute drive to the IGA and about 20 minutes from the airport. The villa itself is new very contemporary beachfront villa -- just our style. They really didn't cut any corners -- great kitchen, great pool deck, great bedrooms. It has wifi internet which was completely reliable, a cell phone is provided with the rental, it has a nice media room with a booming surround sound, DVD player, and a large plasma TV. Each bedroom also has satellite TVs. So your entertainment should be taken care of. The pool is very nice, though we tended to spend more time in the ocean. The pool has a small round baby pool attached to it, so it's perfect if you have little ones along. A lot of poolside furniture is also provided, as well as pool toys, and even an outdoor pool table! And if that's not enough -- walk toward the beach and there's a gas fire pit -- very nice to fire up in the evenings and sit around. They really did think of everything... The beach that Footprints is on is perfection -- you can literally walk for miles in either direction. Walk to the left and you head toward the resorts (though its a good 15+ minute walk before you reach one) -- walk to the right and you are on miles of secluded beach. We absolutely loved the beach and the water on Turks, and Footprints is on a great stretch of sand! The house itself is very cool. From interior glass walls, a brand new kitchen with high-end appliances, and bedrooms with great showers and bathtubs (and comfy beds). The upstairs bedrooms facing the ocean have balconies -- the Master BR has a HUGE balcony with a great round lounger/bed. We spent a lot of time out there. There is one downstairs bedroom which is handicap accessible, and 4 upstairs bedrooms -- 3 with King beds and one with a huge bunk bed (really could fit 4 kids, at least!). Each bedroom has its only full bathroom. There are also a few ipod docks, so bring your ipod! And if that's not enough, they also offer a matching white Hummer H2 for rent with the Footprints logo right on the side. ;) And no we have no interest in the property other than enjoying our staying and planning a return trip next year!
This house was more than a place to stay, it was the whole package. Plenty room to accommodate the twelve of us for a week with spacious rooms and bathrooms. The views from every room in the house were amazing. The outdoor seating was comfortable and very enjoyable. The beach was beautiful and the water was like no other I have ever seen. The kids played outside the whole time. They loved snorkeling in the reef that is only steps away from the house and the pool was a hit as well. Swimming at night time in the pool was one of the highlights of their trip. The best part of the house in my opinion was the chef. Neiden was not only a great cook but a lovely lady with a big heart and a great smile. She made our trip very enjoyable. The cleaning service was excellent as well. Wesley came to the house everyday and took care of every detail. The best one, having clean towels all the time. It was great to know that we did not have to worry about preparing food or doing any cleaning. That allowed us more time to enjoy our vacation. If there is something to be aware about the house is the fact that the mosquitoes can get bad after it rains and another thing is the need for transportation. We rented a car and used it a lot. The supermarket is about ten minutes away by car and the hotels on the main area are about a thirty minute walk on the beach from the house. A little far, but a beautiful walk regardless. My favorite thing to do at the house was drinking my coffee every morning on the beach while I was waiting for my pelican friend to show up for breakfast at the reef ;). It was heavenly!
