Fully equipped kitchen, fabulous great room overlooking the seas, two master suites, one above the other with a/c, many bathrooms/showers, a formal dining room and a splendid library, not to mention the gazebo in the lovely gardens on the cliff above the water, dandy swimming pool and, a few step down the hill, access to the sea via stone steps. Nicely and stylishly furnished - in fact, absolutely perfect!! It took a couple of run-throughs to get the hang of the security system, but we soon mastered it and were in and out for the rest of the week with no problems. We felt pampered and well looked after, and had a splendid time. The weather was very hot, but the a/c in the bedrooms were up to the challenge, so we slept well. The island has excellent restaurants-they DO know how to cook on Provo! One of our favorites was Las Brisas (very close to the villa), Magnolia and Bella Luna, with special mention going to Hemmingway's for the gentlemen in your party.l I recommend this property wholeheartedly as a lovely and unique vacation venue.
This truly awesome 5 bedroom vacation villa will take your breath away the moment you walk thru the front door and are treated to a 180 degree view of the ocean only 25 feet in front of you. With 4 acres directly on the ocean and a separate 2 bedroom main house, 2 bedroom guest house and carriage house, the privacy is amazing. Many days, we never saw anyone or didn't even see any boats go past the house. We several options to enter the ocean right from the house, we enjoyed hours in the water snorkeling, paddling the kayak or watching the sunset. Didn't need the air conditioning in January, but it was good to know that it was available and included in the rental price, if needed. The high speed wireless internet was also reliable and made the unpleasant task of checking our work e-mails at least tolerable as we set by the lap pool soaking in the sun. One afternoon, we waived in the locals who were out fishing and purchased a dozen freshly caught lobsters and some grouper. They tasted great on the BBQ grill and we enjoyed dinning in the elegantly furnished Dinning Room, but still in our shorts and barefooted. Provo also has many fine restaurants and we especially liked Las Brisis, which was right down the street from South Seas Villa. We are already planning to return next year, hopefully for at least 2 weeks with a combination of both friends and family.
South Seas offers the best in private relaxing experience. The kayak and bicycles offer just the right pace to take in the island life. Snorkeling was excellent in as little as three feet of water right there at the house. You could see probably 30 kinds of fish and half a dozen different kinds of coral. We ate at 15 different restaurants and all were good. Dress was casual. I don't think I've ever gone that long wearing only flip flops. When we ate in, we found everything we needed in the kitchen. There were a lot of books to choose from in the media room. Tranquility was ever ready to see to any need or question we might have. We can't wait to return to the turquoise sea and ever-changing sky at South Seas!
